Healthcare Financial Management Association HFMA is the nation’s leading personal membership organization for healthcare financial management professionals. Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society HIMSS is the healthcare industry’s membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the use of healthcare information technology and management systems. American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Provides education and practice management services for orthopedic surgeons and allied health professionals. Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations JCAHO’s mission is to “continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations.”

Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education ProgramsCAAHEP is the largest programmatic/specialized accreditor in the health sciences field. It reviews and accredits more than 2000 educational programs in twenty-one (21) health science occupations across the United States and Canada.

Mental Health Association of Greater Chicago

American Academy of Medical Administrators Founded in 1957, AAMA is the premiere association for healthcare leaders, to enhance their profession and community health. Its mission is to develop excellence in healthcare and leadership. Headquartered in Des Plains, Illinois.

American Medical Association The American Medical Association speaks out on issues important to patients and the nation’s health. AMA policy on such issues is decided through its democratic policy-making process, in the AMA House of Delegates.

Medical Library Association Founded “to encourage the improvement and increase of public medical libraries”. The MLA has more than 1,200 institutions and 3,800 professionals in the health information field. American College of Surgeons Dedicated to improving the care of surgical patients and to safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical environment.

American Osteopathic Association The AOA represents more than 54,000 osteopathic physicians (D.Os). It serves as the primary certifying body for D.Os, and is the accrediting agency for all osteopathic medical colleges and health care facilities.
